URBAN / MASTER PLANNING

The success of our urban/master planning projects have come from strategic research that new and existing cities are looking for ways to make their communities livable and to help them thrive. We participate in planning for dense urban areas where the need is to re-invent a neighborhood or district, as well as work with new cities that want to create a sense of place, one that is pleasant and functional and has the ability to grow in a positive manner well into the future.

We create a sense of place with generous pedestrian promenades, distinctive plazas and landscaping. From planning through construction, our master plan designs are the first steps toward destinations that are recognized as amenities to their respective communities; places that inspire visitors to stay longer and return more often.

Our urban/planning design studio, was created for the purpose of focusing on urban/ master planning and the mix of uses found in urban environments such as retail, residential and institutional projects. Our goal is to create master plans that maximize a site’s financial potential, at the same time creating desirable conditions for potential tenants and visitors.

BZAS is known for its inventive and sensitive reworking of existing structures, and the restoration of existing buildings. Our work frequently includes feasibility studies, historic restoration and renovation, and the application of sophisticated technologies to existing facilities. By thoroughly understanding the program and carefully responding to the client’s wishes, we have been able to develop creative solutions which accommodate the client’s requirements and stay within budget.
